Forum: 19th-20th October 2021 (Live-stream available) | Post-Forum Workshop: 21st October 2021 (SOLD OUT) | Location: Brisbane
It is no secret that Indigenous Australians have much lower employment rates and workforce participation representation than other Australian’s, multiplied and intertwined with systemic social, cultural, geographic and economic disparities.
As halving the gap in employment outcomes set within the decade long Closing the Gap targets failed to be met, it is apparent that considerable skill gaps and incompatibilities within the industry continue to persist as barriers to job retention, career progression, and leadership opportunities.
The Indigenous Employment Forum aims to showcase, frame and foster discussions and put forward practical solutions to protect and grow culture to be at the forefront of businesses and communities.
If you identify as an Indigenous or non-indigenous businessperson/organisation seeking to dive deeper into cultural workplace engagement and developing sustainable Indigenous employment strategies, join us in forwarding the discussion on approaches that all Australian businesses and communities can undertake to sustain Indigenous economic development in shaping greater futures.
A portion of proceeds from the forum will go to our Community Charity Partner, The First Australians Chamber of Commerce & Industry, to support their continuous efforts to locate and engage with First Australian Business Owners for the purpose of meaningful procurement and economic growth for First Australian Communities.
